A New Adventure

My kids LOVE being in my mom and dad's trailer! So, we decided that we would rent a trailer for some summer fun with the kids. My mom and dad were able to find us a fun camping spot and came and played with us. We had so much fun, not having to do anything! I have a ton of pictures and need to get a ton more from my mom's camera. (Too many pictures to post!) Here are a few things we did: bike rides, walks, played catch, bocce, puzzles, read books, ate yummy food, popped popcorn the old fashioned way, saw a new baby horse, visited, watched fireworks (that were REALLY close!), lit sparklers, watched the fishermen, roasted marshmallows, took naps in the air conditioning, relaxed and relaxed some more. Overall the weekend was a success! We look forward to doing something like this again sometime.

Reunions

The last 2 weekends we have been at family reunions. One for my mom's side of the family, and one for my dad's side of the family. We grew up going to these reunions each summer and as they continue it is hard for me to break that tradition. It was fun to see cousins, Aunts, and Uncles that we hadn't seen for nearly a year (since the last reunion.) Playing games, visiting, hiking, eating good food, and enjoying the campfire are some things that we all enjoy together. For the 2nd family reunion we were lucky enough to have my entire family there, these are the pictures to prove it! We have tons of fun together. I can't wait until the next reunion in August.

4 days with Emily

My sister, Emily, was able to stay with me for 4 days last week! We stayed so busy, but had lots of fun too! Here is a quick report of all we did.

We made 7 batches of Strawberry freezer jam! Yum!

We took the boys to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.

We changed my doorknobs, deadbolts, and hinges. No more ugly gold! Thanks Micah for your help too!

We ate McDonald's at the park.

I taught Emily about digital scrapbooking and she made her pages for 2007.

The biggest accomplishment while she was here is that we made curtains (out of this cute fabric) for her new house. We made 2 valences and 2 big panels for her sliding door. They turned out soooo cute!

Odds and Ends with no pictures: We went to enrichment night that was a service auction. Emily came home with a cute apron that matches her kitchen. I got a FHE lesson and a cute necklace. I took Emily up to Tai Pan (a first for both of us.) We did some shopping (Peerless, Old Navy, Dollar Tree, and a few fabric stores.) We took the boys to the library for story time.
Thanks for coming Emily, I had tons of fun. Thanks mom for taking the girls, it made it a lot easier to only have 4 kids instead of 7! I know they had a ton of fun! It's been a long time since I have gotten that much done in 4 days! If anyone else wants to come have fun at my house, let me know. You are all welcome!

Father's Day

We had a fun Father's Day and were able to give dad a few fun things. The kids had a lot of fun making these handprints, and I thought they turned out really cute! Our dad is the greatest and we appreciate all he does for us. We love you!

2 dates in one day!

Today was a fun day for me to get in some quality time with my older 2 kids. First was Kaylee. For our date we went out to lunch and to see Disney's Princesses on Ice. It was so fun to have some one on one time doing some girly things. The show was great and Kaylee had a blast. She loves her new Princess T-shirt and her crown that has lights in it.

Second, it was Kyler's turn. We went bowling. Kyler was amazing. The last few times he's been bowling he was with Brian, so I was really surprised how good he was at aiming the ball to go the right way. And yes, he was really excited when he beat me at both games we played! (I'm a little out of practice!) I was really bummed that the bumpers didn't stay up for me too, darn! That would have helped.

It was really fun for me to do something different today and Brian did awesome at holding down the fort. I came home to a clean house (even after the neighbor boys came over to play), fresh homemade bread, a weeded flower bed, and probably 10 other things too! I wish I did that good while he was at work..... maybe next week. We'll see!

My Cute Baby

For the first time I haven't wanted to do a new post, since it would push Brian's cute post down the page. But, I couldn't resist showing you how cute my baby is. These are the 1 year pictures. I love how they turned out, but it also made me sad to see that my baby really isn't a baby any more! It was tricky to get good pictures, since he kept walking away, but we still got some good ones. Tyson is such a fun boy!

Good Mail Day!

The kids were so excited to get a package in the mail today! Kyler had to wait for a long time until Kaylee got home from school to open it. Inside the package they found coloring books, Valentines, and new pillowcases! They were quick to put the pillowcases on the pillows and then carried them all around for the rest of the day! So fun! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Cressall, what a good idea!

Tyson Is 1 Year Old!

Tyson LOVES watching Elmo on Sesame Street, so we decided that an Elmo cake would be perfect for his 1st birthday. (We celebrated a few days late due to mom having eye surgery.) On Saturday, still with a little fuzzy vision I attempted to decorate the Elmo cake. I was happy with how it turned out. We had a fun little party where Tyson got a red wagon, an outfit, diapers, and an elmo toy. We all enjoyed the cake! It was fun to watch Tyson get into it. He did a good job getting messy. I still can't believe my baby is 1! Time flies!
