What a cute family I have! We forgot to take pictures in our Sunday clothes on Easter, so we took them a week late. Better late than never. Although, we couldn't take any pictures outside since it was snowing. Darn! I still think they turned out cute!

Renewed Love
My heart is aching today for a mother that I don't know personally, but we both had boys in the same preschool class. I got a phone call last night from Kyler's preschool teacher telling me that one of the boys in Kyler's class has been really sick this last week and on Friday was just diagnosed with leukemia. After a seizure Sunday morning, he passed away! I had a hard time thinking of anything else the rest of the night. I cried thinking of this poor mother, not knowing how I would go on, if it were me. This has been really good for me to have a renewed patience and love for my kids. You just never know what is going to come next. Within a week, this little boy went from sick to being gone. We will do better to treasure all the time that we have together. To read more about Kyler's friend, here's a link: http://www.legacy.com/heraldextra/Obituaries.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=106365131
Easter Fun!
On our way home we were able to stop and see Grandma and Grandpa Cottle who were out camping in their trailer. They even cooked us dinner. It was a fun little visit, and they sent us home with full stomachs and yummy cookies!
After church on Sunday we continued to have fun with the kids. Coloring eggs, finding baskets, and hunting eggs. We also watched the Bee Movie. Fun to relax and enjoy being with the kids. It's days like this that are so fun to make more memories together.

Going Digital - Part 2
I have spent a good part of today working on my digital scrapbooking. I'm trying to figure out all the tricks, including printing. After talking to the people in the photo department at Costco I learned that I could print 3 scrapbook pages (12X12) on one paper (12X36) for $4.99. Not a bad price, I thought. Then, I had to figure out how to save 3 pictures side by side and save it as one file. It took me a while, but I think I got it. I downloaded my pages onto Costco's website and ordered them from home. (There is no 12X36 option online, so you just pick 12X18 and then call them so they know to change it to 12X36 before it prints). Luckily, the girl that was working at Costco today was very helpful and gave me some good suggestions. I picked up my pages, cut them apart, and in the book they went! I've already got more pages ready to print, I think I like this digital stuff!

2 dates in one day!

Today was a fun day for me to get in some quality time with my older 2 kids. First was Kaylee. For our date we went out to lunch and to see Disney's Princesses on Ice. It was so fun to have some one on one time doing some girly things. The show was great and Kaylee had a blast. She loves her new Princess T-shirt and her crown that has lights in it.
Second, it was Kyler's turn. We went bowling. Kyler was amazing. The last few times he's been bowling he was with Brian, so I was really surprised how good he was at aiming the ball to go the right way. And yes, he was really excited when he beat me at both games we played! (I'm a little out of practice!) I was really bummed that the bumpers didn't stay up for me too, darn! That would have helped.
It was really fun for me to do something different today and Brian did awesome at holding down the fort. I came home to a clean house (even after the neighbor boys came over to play), fresh homemade bread, a weeded flower bed, and probably 10 other things too! I wish I did that good while he was at work..... maybe next week. We'll see!

Cards with Mom
I was lucky enough to have my mom come and visit today! After a fun trip to Roberts and Material Girls, we made cards. It's been so long since I made cards that it was really fun! These are some of the favorites. We decided that we need to get together like this more often. Thanks Mom for the fun day! The time flew by too fast!

Aaron and Ashlee's Wedding
We had a great weekend in Logan for Aaron and Ashlee's wedding. Ashlee's my baby sister, so she is our last wedding. It was really neat to have all 5 of us kids, along with our spouses, and mom and dad all in the temple together. The weather was a little rainy, but the umbrellas were great to entertain the kids! (I thought that worked out great!) It was a little harder getting pictures this time (while juggling 3 kids), but I
managed to get a few good ones.
Congrats to Ashlee and Aaron! We are happy for you!

Going Digital

I've decided to try digital scrapbooking! I think that there are pros and cons, so I've never looked into it real seriously. Well, while we were at the CHA show in California I found some software I decided to try. I've been playing with it the last few days and this is what I have come up with for my first digital scrapbook page. I will print this on 12X12 paper (at Kinko's or Costco) and put it in my scrapbook. I figure I would have had to print the pictures, but now I'm printing pages instead. We'll give it more time to see if I am hooked, but I still have a lot of papers and embellishments, so I'll still be doing it the old fashioned way too.

Kyler's Birthday Party
It's not Kyler's birthday yet, but since Ashlee is getting married we had to celebrate a week early! This was our first attempt at a birthday party with all boys!! Kyler loved it!
He chose to have a Ratatouille Pizza Party! We broke a pinata, put on our chef hats to make pizza, opened presents, played and ate pizza and cake! It turned out to be a really fun party, the thing that made it a little harder was when I knocked Tyson over and he landed right on his mouth! It bled forever and gave him a huge fat lip! Too bad it was right in the middle of the birthday party. We got over that and still had a lot of fun!
